Notice of English Proficiency Test I

Test Date and Time: During the English I lab class hours, from Monday, April 14 to Saturday, April 19, 2025. All students who take the English I course are required to take the test.
※ For the English-taught program classes, the test will be conducted in the English I class from Monday, April 21 to Friday, April 25, 2025.
Objective: The English II course will be arranged according to the result of the test.
Question Types: Reading and listening sections in the General English Proficiency Test, intermediate level.
A 2B pencil and an eraser are required for making marks on the answer sheet.
Admittance is not allowed after the listening section begins.
Make-up Test Rules:
- Students who do not attend the test will be regarded as absence of class.
- Students who cannot attend the test due to a legitimate reason (severe injury or illness requiring professional medical care, emergencies in their immediate family, participation in official university activities, legal obligations) and have supporting documentation should apply for the make-up test as soon as possible for arrangement. Students should go online (http://enroll.tku.edu.tw/) to register by noon, Friday, April 25, 2025 and submit the required documents to FL413 and have the application approved before 17:00, Friday, April 25, 2025. Students who request official affairs or personal leaves need to complete the process one week prior to the test. The make-up test will be held at 18:10-20:00, Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
- Required documents:
  1. The school’s leave form.
  2. The approval for English proficiency test I. The form can be downloaded from the English Department website and needs to be approved by the lab class teacher or TA.
  3. Supporting documentation.
- Students will have a score deduction of 20% if the score is above 60%. The formula is as follows:
