全英班課程介紹 / Courses introduction of English-Taught program
修業規定/Graduation Credit Regulations
一、所有課程皆須為全英語授課課程才能被承認為畢業學分。
Ａ）All courses must be taught entirely in English, so that the credits can be recognized for graduation credits.
二、一年級或二年級必須住校一年。
Ｂ）Students must live in school dormitory for one year during their 1st or 2nd year.
三、所有必修課程都必須依照學期序修讀，前一學期必修課成績未達５０分，不得續修下一學期必修課（四年級除外）。
順序：英語會話（一上）→英語會話（一下）→英語口語表達（二上）英語口語表達（二下）
英作文（一）（一上）→英作文（一）（一下）→英作文（二）（二上）→英作文（二）（二下）
大一英文（一上）→大一英文（一下） ／ 文學作品讀法（一上）→文學作品讀法（一下）
英國文學（二上）→英國文學（二下） ／ 英語語言學概論（二上）→英語語言學概論（二下）
Ｃ）All required courses must be taken in semester order. Students who do not achieve a score of 50 or higher in a required course in the previous semester are not allowed to continue taking the required course in the next semester (Except for the 4th grade).
Order: English Conversation(1st grade 1st semester) → English Conversation(1st grade 2nd semester) → Oral Communication(2nd grade 1st semester) → Oral Communication(2nd grade 2nd semester)
Order: English Composition(I)(1st grade 1st semester) → English Composition(I)(1st grade 2nd semester) → English Composition(II)(2nd grade 1st semester) →
Order: English Composition(II)(2nd grade 2nd semester)
Order: Freshman English(1st grade 1st semester) → Freshman English(1st grade 2nd semester) ／
Order: Appr. to the Study of Literature(1st grade 1st semester) → Appr. to the Study of Literature(1st grade 2nd semester)
Order: English Literature(2nd grade 1st semester) → English Literature(2nd grade 2nd semester) ／
Order: Introduction to English Linguistics(2nd grade 1st semester) → Introduction to English Linguistics(2nd grade 2nd semester)
四、本國籍學生都要修讀「社會議題探索暨實踐」、「國際學習」以及「團隊發展」等三門課程，依序皆被承認為「社會分析學門」、「全球視野學門」以及「課外活動與團隊發展」等學分。
Ｄ）National students must take these 3 courses: “Exploring and Implementing Social Issues”, “Study Abroad and International Learning”, and “Team Development”. They are also recognized for the credits of “Social Analysis(W)”, “Global Outlook(T)”, and “Extracurricular Activities and Team-Ship Development(K)”.
五、本系學生不得修讀「外國語文學門(Q)」的英文（一）、（二），必須要修讀該學門中的其它外語。只要是全英語授課之外語皆可自選，惟每種外語必須要修滿一學年。
Ｅ）Students of our department are not allowed to take English(I), (II) in “Foreign Languages(Q)”. They must take other foreign languages. Any foreign language taught entirely in English can be chosen, but each foreign language must be completed for a full academic year.
六、本系學生必須要在畢業前通過英語檢定考試標準才能畢業。以英語為母語的外國籍學生可以附上護照影本並填寫「外籍學生英語能力證明書」申請免試。
Ｆ）Students in our department must pass the English Proficiency Test Standard before graduation. International students whose native language is English can apply for exemption from the test by submitting a copy of their passport and completing the document “Certificate of Ability in English for Foreign Students“.
七、「中國語文能力表達」課程，本國籍學生請勿輕易退選。外籍生請注意境外生輔導組的暑期開課訊息，該單位在開學前的暑假期間會提供較簡單的付費課程內容，代替正常課程。修過暑期課程的境外生於開學後會拿到證明書，即可免修本課程。未能在暑期修讀課程者，可以在開學後的加退選期間退選原本的課程，並在第二學期時修讀校共同課程中的同一課程。該課程的內容會比較簡單。
Ｇ）As to the course “Ability of Expressing in Spoken and Written Chinese”, National students should not withdraw it at will. International students, please take note of the summer intensive program information from the International and Mainland Student Guidance Section. This section will offer simplified, paid course in summer before the beginning of the semester, replacing regular classes. International students who complete the summer course will receive a certificate after the beginning of the semester, exempting “Ability of Expressing in Spoken and Written Chinese” from this course. Thoses who are unable to take the course in summer can withdraw this course during the add-drop period after the beginning of the semester and take the same course in the 2nd semester from the “Common Elective Courses” under “Common Subjects”. The content of that course will be easier.
八、「大學學習」、「AI與程式語言」以及「探索永續」等課程，學校會為一年級新生代選，請不要隨意退課。
Ｈ）As to the courses “Learning in University”, “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence”, and “Exploring Sustainability”, the school will select these courses in advance for 1st grade students. Please do not withdraw them at will.
九、「體育」課程，學校會為一年級新生代選，請不要隨意退課。總共要修４個學期的體育課，但不計入畢業學分。
Ｉ）As to the course “Physical Education”, the school will select this course in advance for 1st-year students. Please do not withdraw it at will. A total of 4 semesters of this course are required, but the credits are not counted towards graduation credits.
十、「全民國防教育軍事訓練」課程，學校會為一年級新生代選，請不要隨意退課。依據軍訓室的公告，境外生免修本課程。如果境外新生以非境外生身分入學，仍需修讀此課程，除非申請更改身分。
Ｊ）As to the course “National Defense Education and Military Training”, the school will select this course in advance for 1st-year students. Please do not withdraw it at will. According to the announcement of the Office of Military Education and Training, all international students do not have to take that course. If an international student enrolls as a non-international student, they will still need to take this course unless they apply to change their status.
十一、「校園與社區服務學習」課程，學校會為一年級新生代選，請不要隨意退課。一年級新生請在新生講習時注意教官的訊息。
Ｋ）As to the course “Campus and Community Service-Learning”, the school will select this course in advance for 1st-year students. Please do not withdraw it at will. Freshman students, please pay attention to the instructor’s messages during freshman orientation.
十二、大三出國：必修０學分，設為本國生畢業門檻，故大三需出國修習學分１年，境外生可選擇不出國
十二、六所姊妹校（擇一出國）：美國舊金山州立大學、美國加州州立大學長堤分校、美國天普大學、美國賓州印地安那大學、美國維諾納州立大學、澳洲昆士蘭理工大學
十二、學費：姊妹校全額（就學所需）、淡江需付１／４學費（維持學籍）
十二、或申請國際處的公費交換生一學年
十三、畢業學分數：
Ｌ）The total granduation credits:
１、１１４學年度入學新生起適用／For students from academic year 2025
（1）必修科目總學分數：68學分（含通識教育課程26學分）
（1）The total number of required courses is 68 credits, including 26 credits of general education courses.
（2）最低應修本系選修科目總學分數：16學分
（2）The minimum credits of elective courses of our department is 16 credits.
（3）其他選修總學分數：44學分（系內選修超過１６學分者、外系開課者、通識核心課程超過２６學分者皆算）
（3）Other elective courses is 44 credits.
畢業總學分數：128學分
The total number of credits required for graduation is 128 credits.
２、１１３學年度入學新生起適用／For students from academic year 2024
（1）必修科目總學分數：72學分（含通識教育課程26學分）
（1）The total number of required courses is 72 credits, including 26 credits of general education courses.
（2）最低應修本系選修科目總學分數：18學分
（2）The minimum credits of elective courses of our department is 18 credits.
（3）其他選修總學分數：38學分（系內選修超過１８學分者、外系開課者、通識核心課程超過２６學分者皆算）
（3）Other elective courses is 38 credits.
畢業總學分數：128學分
The total number of credits required for graduation is 128 credits.
３、１１２學年度入學新生起適用／For students from academic year 2023
（1）必修科目總學分數：70學分（含通識教育課程26學分）
（1）The total number of required courses is 70 credits, including 26 credits of general education courses.
（2）最低應修本系選修科目總學分數：18學分
（2）The minimum of elective courses of our department is 18 credits.
（3）其他選修總學分數：40學分（系內選修超過１８學分者、外系開課者、通識核心課程超過２６學分者皆算）
（3）Other elective courses is 40 credits.
畢業總學分數：128學分

４、１１１學年度入學新生起適用／For students from academic year 2022
（1）必修科目總學分數：72學分（含通識教育課程26學分）
（1）The total number of required courses is 72 credits, including 26 credits of general education courses.
（2）最低應修本系選修科目總學分數：18學分
（2）The minimum of elective courses of our department is 18 credits.
（3）其他選修總學分數：38學分（系內選修超過１８學分者、外系開課者、通識核心課程超過２６學分者皆算）
